Deliv is seeking an awesome mobile developer to expand our team of eight “full-stack” engineers (2 of whom spend more time in mobile with you). Software Engineer - Route Optimization

About the Opportunity

Deliv is seeking a back-end engineer with a background in working on optimization problems to expand our fast-growing engineering team. In the role, you'll be empowered to design and develop the architecture and infrastructure of our next generation delivery routing engine. You'll be implementing complex algorithms so an eye for performance and maintainability is essential. To drive the future of our routing application you'll need knowledge of one at least one statically typed, back-end language (C, Java) and at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby).

We’re looking to fill this position out of either our Menlo Park, CA or Roswell, GA offices.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the architecture of our routing application to allow fast execution, maintainable code, and enhanced customization.
  • Drive the infrastructure choices to allow additional horizontal scaling of route optimization jobs.

Product Manager

 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Deliv has already found strong product/market fit with its world changing service. But it is absolutely day one for us. We’re seeking a top performing product manager to join our high achieving team, define and execute against a giant vision that builds upon what Deliv has brought to the market so far.

You’ll work among star engineers, designers and product managers in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, hybrid technology/operations environment. We are highly customer centric and we deeply believe we can innovate our way out of any box. The role demands great technical depth, principled thinking, well-honed product judgment, a stubborn refusal to settle, bold innovation, a high design bar and a mentality of starting with the customer and working backwards.

You will play a critical role in our agile development process working with customers and star internal Community, Engineering, Logistics, Operations, and Sales teams to define new features, identify success metrics, and to track performance. Given the complex nature of our business supporting delivery specialists, retailers as well as our internal operations, this leader will not have the luxury of having tunnel-vision for any one area; rather, you will need to think holistically and understand the business deeply to set the right long term strategy for the company.

This role reports to the Head of Product at our HQ in Menlo Park, California.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You'll be the product leader including- gather product requirements, drive product roadmap and long term vision for the team responsible for an entire audience including delivery specialists, retailers, business shippers and internal business and operations teams.
  • Drive new product development from start to finish.
  • Work cross functionally with the engineering, design, operations, marketing, to gain a deep understanding of the business, prioritize and sequence requirements for customer and business impact.
  • Drive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (roadmap) and design of Deliv products and product features to deliver against team and company goals. Director of Marketing - Community Growth

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Director of Marketing - Community Growth is responsible for sourcing the heart and soul of our company – our independent contractor driver partners.  This role is highly visible and is a great opportunity to have a significant impact on Deliv’s mission to give people the freedom to do more of what matters to them. You’ll lead a team of marketers to source driver partners from online and offline channels. This role reports to the VP of Marketing in our corporate office in Menlo Park, CA.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage driver acquisition across all channels (online and offline) ensuring driver partner top of funnel supply meets forecasted demand on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Build driver acquisition go-to-market plan, including the evergreen channel mix and heavy up campaigns for ramp by market.
  • Think creatively about segmenting, targeting and reaching potential driver partners with the appropriate channels and messages by market, and ensure creative validation through A/B testing.
  • While a player/coach in some areas, build and manage a team to devise, implement, measure, and optimize marketing strategies across all channels - Paid Marketing, Partnerships/Co-marketing, Referrals, Promotions etc.

Operations Success Representative (Menlo Park, CA)

Community Manager

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our growing Community Team as a clever and resourceful Community Manager. As Senior Business Analyst, you will facilitate the design and analytic effort on a variety of projects that directly impact operational success. Your role is to apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand ecosystems, user behaviors, and long ­term trends. You will build models of user behaviors and to optimize driver performance & operational economics. You are scrappy, focused on results, a self-­ starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the understanding, progression, and user engagement of a product.

Location of the role is in our Menlo Park, CA office and reports to the Director of Data Analytics.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with Logistics, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Product stakeholders to prioritize analysis activities and reporting requirements in support of company goals.
  • Lead analysis activities that underpin strategic decisions, optimize delivery execution, and measure and motivate our crowd­sourced drivers.
  • Write scripts in SQL-­based Looker Business Intelligence tool to build data sets, automate analysis, and update data models.
  • Design and implement reporting dashboards and metrics that track and monitor the performance of our operational economics, the quality of our data, and overall health of the business.
  • Problem solve how specific metrics need to be generated and, when required, work with the product and engineering teams to implement solutions (e.g. data gathering, gap analysis, work on submitted feature request or business requirement documents, file bugs etc).
  • Work with internal operations teams to define problems, collect and synthesize relevant data, build analytical models and forecasts.
  • Publish and track key metrics via dashboards, scorecards, and share ad­hoc analysis with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive ongoing data cleansing/data improvement tasks.
  • Support and operationalize the reporting of key performance indicators.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Degree in applied math, statistics, computer science, operations research, or related technical or analytical field.
  • 3+ years of analytical work experience in high data volume environments (preferably in internet, software, media, or financial industries).
  • Demonstrated track record in the development and delivery of reporting and analysis in a demanding business environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract and integrate data from various platforms or sources.
