About The Opportunity

Deliv is seeking an awesome mobile developer to expand our team of eight “full-stack” engineers (2 of whom spend more time in mobile with you). The role will have you doing Android and iOS development with some occasional Ruby on Rails backend/API work, so you should be strong at one, decent at another, and willing/interested to learn in the third.

Software Engineer - Route Optimization

About the Opportunity

Deliv is seeking a back-end engineer with a background in working on optimization problems to expand our fast-growing engineering team. In the role, you'll be empowered to design and develop the architecture and infrastructure of our next generation delivery routing engine. You'll be implementing complex algorithms so an eye for performance and maintainability is essential. To drive the future of our routing application you'll need knowledge of one at least one statically typed, back-end language (C, Java) and at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby).

We’re looking to fill this position out of either our Menlo Park, CA or Roswell, GA offices.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the architecture of our routing application to allow fast execution, maintainable code, and enhanced customization.
  • Drive the infrastructure choices to allow additional horizontal scaling of route optimization jobs.
  • Work closely with our ORs to design and implement new algorithms to reduce costs and improve efficiency for our driver partners.

You Are

We’re seeking a top performing product manager to join our high achieving team, define and execute against a giant vision that builds upon what Deliv has brought to the market so far.

You’ll work among star engineers, designers and product managers in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, hybrid technology/operations environment. We are highly customer centric and we deeply believe we can innovate our way out of any box. The role demands great technical depth, principled thinking, well-honed product judgment, a stubborn refusal to settle, bold innovation, a high design bar and a mentality of starting with the customer and working backwards.

You will play a critical role in our agile development process working with customers and star internal Community, Engineering, Logistics, Operations, and Sales teams to define new features, identify success metrics, and to track performance. Given the complex nature of our business supporting delivery specialists, retailers as well as our internal operations, this leader will not have the luxury of having tunnel-vision for any one area; rather, you will need to think holistically and understand the business deeply to set the right long term strategy for the company.

This role reports to the Head of Product at our HQ in Menlo Park, California.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You'll be the product leader including- gather product requirements, drive product roadmap and long term vision for the team responsible for an entire audience including delivery specialists, retailers, business shippers and internal business and operations teams.
  • Drive new product development from start to finish.
  • Work cross functionally with the engineering, design, operations, marketing, to gain a deep understanding of the business, prioritize and sequence requirements for customer and business impact.
  • Drive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (roadmap) and design of Deliv products and product features to deliver against team and company goals. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Director of Marketing - Community is responsible for marketing programs to source and retain the heart and soul of our company – our independent contractor Delivery Specialists.  This role is highly visible and is a great opportunity to have a significant impact on Deliv’s mission to give people the freedom to do more of what matters to them. You’ll lead a team of marketers and partner with the Community Operations Team to source and retain Delivery Specialists. This role reports to the VP of Marketing in our corporate office in Menlo Park, CA.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage driver acquisition across all channels (online and offline) ensuring Delivery Specialist top of funnel supply meets forecasted demand on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Build Delivery Specialist acquisition go-to-market plan, including the evergreen channel mix and heavy up campaigns for ramp by market.
  • Think creatively about segmenting, targeting and reaching potential Delivery Specialists with the appropriate channels and messages by market, and ensure creative validation through A/B testing.
  • While a player/coach in some areas, build and manage a team to devise, implement, measure, and optimize marketing strategies across all channels - Paid Marketing, Partnerships/Co-marketing, Referrals, Promotions etc.
  • Optimize acquisition costs. Track and report on Performance KPIs across all acquisition channels to optimize ROI, including highlighting investment tradeoffs between all CPA-based activities.
  • Partner with Deliv Community Operations team to develop key insights and develop programs including social media to engage and retain our Delivery Specialists and optimize LTV
  • Partner with Deliv Community Operations team to create onboarding certifications / videos, knowledge databases, driver portal content, etc to seamlessly onboard delivery specialists, provide great customer experience, and minimize call/email volumes.
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with product, community and operations teams to ensure successful execution of marketing plans and tracking tools.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Marketing Manager will have a central role in building both sides of Deliv’s business –building and retaining our network of Delivery Specialists as well as scaling and supporting our retail customers.  We are looking for someone who is an engaging writer, has keen customer insights, develops compelling marketing programs, is a wizard at email marketing, and loves social media.   • Partner with Community Operations Retention team to develop programs and content to engage and retain the heart and soul of our company- our Delivery Specialist Community via social media, events, e-mail campaigns, referall marketing programs etc.
  • Partner with Community Operations Onboarding Team to accelerate onboarding of New Delivery Specialists via email marketing programs and optimization of onboarding training materials (videos / certification programs / in app trainings)
  • Partner with Community Operations team & Product team to create strategies and knowledge bases to enhance Delivery Specialist experience and reduce Delivery Specialist call volume
  • Drive new retail customer acquisition via email marketing programs and paid digital marketing.
  • Partner with sales team to develop key selling materials required for retail segments – case studies, sales slicks, etc.
  • Develop compelling blog content for retailers and small businesses
  • Help develop and launch new products at Deliv – such as Deliv Fresh and Deliv Rx

Senior Business Analyst

We’re looking for a creative leader with excellent analytical abilities across business and technology, attention to detail, strong ownership and organization skills. Cross­ team coordination, project management, and excellent communication skills are essential.

As Senior Business Analyst, you will facilitate the design and analytic effort on a variety of projects that directly impact operational success. Your role is to apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand ecosystems, user behaviors, and long ­term trends. You will build models of user behaviors and to optimize driver performance & operational economics. You are scrappy, focused on results, a self-­ starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the understanding, progression, and user engagement of a product.

Location of the role is in our Menlo Park, CA office and reports to the Director of Data Analytics.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with Logistics, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Product stakeholders to prioritize analysis activities and reporting requirements in support of company goals.
  • Lead analysis activities that underpin strategic decisions, optimize delivery execution, and measure and motivate our crowd­sourced drivers.
  • Write scripts in SQL-­based Looker Business Intelligence tool to build data sets, automate analysis, and update data models.
  • Design and implement reporting dashboards and metrics that track and monitor the performance of our operational economics, the quality of our data, and overall health of the business.
